Let's celebrate Diwali with Indian craft room! - ICRCAUT02

Hello All,

We have next challenge ready for you. I am hosting this challenge at Indian Craft Room which is so fun and festive. Make Diwali creations using below sketch I made..

And here is my inspiration for you!

I love love making Diwali cards but always feel out of supplies as we don't get Diwali/Indian themed stamps and sentiments. Anyway, I had to make one with whatever i had. Since, the background of the sketch stripy, I selected the My Favorite Things Triangles background stamp. I head embossed with white embossing powder and distressed each strip one by one by masking the adjacent strips..
Sentiment is made from Lawn Fawn alphabet stamps and diya is made from cutting the heat embossed circle stamp from Inkadinkado into half.

I can't wait what you all make for this challenge. Do give it a try!

Happy Crafting!

Feathers!

Hello Peeps!

My second post for today.

This is the first time I used feather shape in my cards. But I totally loved the effect. Feather indeed has a classy shape.

I distressed Tim Holtz water color papers with various inks and once it's dried, I spritzed it with some water drops. Loved the effect i got on the paper. I let it dry and then die cut it with Simon Says Stamp Feather dies.

Also used SSS stitched rectangle dies and Wplus9 Banners clear stampset for the sentiment and some sequins from DoodleBug Rainbow Assortment Sequin Pack..

Playing along with following challenges :

1. Blog Named Hero - Diecutting
2. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Callenge - No Designer Paper

Thanks for looking!

Ombre Birthday Card

Hi All,

I wanted to share the die-cut shaker card I made especially for A blognamed hero - Die-cutting Challenge. I am a huge fan of the blog and it's design team and have committed to myself to participate in each and every challenge come what may. :D

Moving quickly onto the card.  It's a simple looking birthday card. However, sticking foam tape to lock the sequin inside such a shape is quite tedious task. I managed it somehow. I noticed after sticking greeting 'Happy Birthday', it's not that visible. but then I didn't had the guts to remove.

I used lovely gradient cardstock stack I found in my local craft store. Used Simon Says Stamp Brilliant Gifts Craft die and DoodleBug Seqins. I love this sequin pack as it comes in variety of colors. Each bottle has different shades of the same color. In short, you can have sequins in all colors with this pack. Quite affordable for a beginner.

Watercoloring with emboss resistance

Hello All!

Misti has totally made me a stamper. I am not able to stop myself from stamping as I know Misti is with me and nothing will go wrong.. :)

This time I used Hero Arts Blossom Art stamp set which I never inked since I bought it around 2 years ago. I wanted to try something different this time. So I tried Emboss resistance with watercoloring. I used Rangers White embossing powder and distress inks for watercoloring effect. Here is the result; I made 3 cards at once!

I also wanted to try different card layouts as well as I was bored with simple layout. Here are the photos of each card.

Here is the list of supplies I used :

1. Papers : Rangers watercolor paper, Pattern papers from my stash.
2. Inks : Distress Inks : Worn Lipstick, Mustered Seeds and Peacock feathers and Hero Arts Hues black ink for sentiments
3. Stamps : Hero Arts Blossom Art, Paper Smooches Bold Buzzwords and Mama Elephant's Make wish stamp set
4. Sequins from my stash

I would like to play along following challenges :

1. Simon Says Stamp - Make it colorful

I hope you liked this set of cards. Do leave some love!

Happy Friday!
