MFT Sketch 333 and Color Challenge 69

Hi All!

This is the second card of the day I made for current MFT Sketch and Color challenge. Here is my card. It was a real challenge to combine both sketch and colors but I loved the outcome.

Here is the MFT Sketch # 333 and the color combos #69.

I had fun creating this card. I first did some masking to create the diagonal lines for the sketch by using some printer's tape and distress inks.
After creating the background, I diecut the word Hugs using MFT Big Hugs Dies. I cut multiple times from white cardstock for an added dimension. To give a shadow effect, I also diecut hugs from black cardstock and while stacking all the Hugs layers, I offset the black one a bit towards right.

The cute bear and dog image and the sentiment is from MFT Friends Furever stamp set. I added some sparkle using Spectra Noir sparkle pen.

That's it from my side today. I will back soon!

Happy Crafting!

MFT Sketch Challenge - Sketch 331

Hi All!

How are you doing? I am back again after a long break and hopefully I will stick around this time. Lot of things are happening  at the personal front which are keeping me busy. But I did managed to sneak out some time to play along latest MFT challenges and made 2 cards; one each for Sketch and Color challenge!

First up is card for sketch challenge.

Here is the MFT sketch number 331.

and here is my interpretation.

I made a shaker card with a cute unicorn flying in the sky full of clouds. The unicorn, cloud/rainbow image and the sentiment is from MFT BB Magical Unicorns stamp set and colored the images with Kuretake zig clean clear real brush pens.

For the clouds I used one of the three dies from MFT Die-namics Stitched Cloud Edges. This time I used pattern papers lavishly as I newly bought 2 paper packs from MFT :D

Here I have used Dots & Stripes Sorbet Paper Pack and Dots & Stripes Confection Paper Pack from MFT again. The stripes and dots are so gorgeous over yummy colors. I am totally in love with these papers!

Here is a close up of shaker component. The acetate sheet and sequins are from a local store.

I have mentioned all the supplies with the links. In case you have any question/comment, please leave a comment.

Have a great day!

Challenges Entered :

Hey All,

I made a matching bag to keep the card in..

Lots of die cutting was done to make this card..

Another view..

I spent a huge amount of time to figure out the way to stick circles together to make accordion...

These flowers are from Itsy Bitsy.. Papers are DCWV... Distressed the circumference with distress ink and did some faux stictching to enhance the look..

Cascading Card

Hey all!

Did you see Sonia's tutorial on Cascading card? I saw this card a while ago but could not dare to make... Sonia's tutorial made it so easy that I couldn't stop myself... Also, a friend gave a card order on a short notice.. She wanted to thank her parents for everything they do for her... how cute is that... and other requirements were something fancy, something big, something DIFFERENT! but..... it should have some space to write some messages on... So I clubbed both the things and came up with this cascading card with a secret space to write sentiments... ;)

I tweaked the measurements a little bit to make it look bigger... I  made it with a 12x12 inches sheet which gave me 2 pieces of  4 x 12 x 8 inches (L x B x H)... so after folding its height is 8 inches... It helped me saving card stock too..
A side view of the cascading card... I took picture in a hurry so its not showing the true beauty of its folds... It looks amazing in real...

The Family alphabets were part of die-cut pack I bought from Joann. It was there as one word but I cut it into letters so that I can arrange it in a semi circle. The butterfly is from Itsy Bitsy.. they have come up with an amazing collection of embellishments. But quite expensive.. :(

Now, if you untie the ribbon on the side, a mini album will pop up... I have used journal tags from Kaisercraft here..

Supply List:

CS: Fabriano Brustro
PP: Echo Park "Be Mine" courtesy ImaginationsOnline
Die cuts: Kaisercraft' Childs Play from Itsy Bitsy
Flowers, butterflies: Little birdie from Itsy Bitsy
Other embellishments: K & Co Die-Cut Embellishments eco-modern
Tools: Fiskar's SureCut paper trimmer, MS doily border punch

Entering into following challenges:
Penny black at allsorts - Spring Time
allsorts challenge - Say it with flowers
Crazy4challenges - Spring
Scrapalicioususa - A cut above
Papercreationsink - Spring is in the Air
mimchallegeblog - Spring Thank you
thesecretcraftersaturdaychallenge - No Image, just words

My friend liked it alot! According to her this is my best creation as of now. But then she said the same when I showed him the train card... :P What do you think about it? Please provide me your feedback and suggestions. ... I would love to hear from you...

Thanks for looking!
