Welcome 2012 - A new year!

Hello!

How is everyone doing? I am enjoying the 1st morning of this new year and hoping that it will be the best one for me in every sense.. and wishes the same for you..!
With this new year, I wanna share few mini cards that I made with distress inks and heat embossing.. This is my 1st try on these and I am so loving these techniques.. In the next few posts, I will share my embossing and distressed projects only.. :)

I did the heat embossing on a frying pan .. :D I heated the frying pan on a medium flame and rotated the paper at a level above it... within seconds the embossing powder melted.. :) so when I say I am in kitchen doesn't mean that I am cooking!! I might be crafting..!! ;)

Individual pictures of the mini cards. Distress ink used: Faded jeans blue

This one is made with Barn door shade of distress ink

3rd one is made with Wild honey ink.

I could have go on but Alas! I have only 3 distress inks.. :(

The butterfly stamp is from Hero arts Antique graving stamp set. The sentiment is from Penny black. Black cardstock is a local buy and the distressing is done on white Brustro painting paper.

Also, on public demand, sharing a picture of my latest goodies I shopped at Joann's on thanksgiving.

Mini cards - Stamping

Hello friends,

Weekend is here so is the crafting for me! yay! Working on some cards... I am planning to make lots of embellishments and 3-4 cards this weekend.. lets see if I am able to achieve the deadline I set for myself...

Today I want to share these 3 note cards I made for crafty JC challenge... I made these last weekend but couldn't post it... better late then challenge deadline passes away :P

These are 3 mini cards measuring 3 x 3 inches.

I made the background with repetitive stamping on pink, blue and light yellow blank paper.

I used different sentiment for each with different shapes and glued them at different positions to make the cards looks different and similar at the same time :P

Supplies used:
Cardstock and paper: Local buy
Stamps: Fiskars All year cheer

These were so easy to make. I am loving stamping!

Do let me know how it turned out....
I am entering this card to following challenges:
Bling it on challenges - No pattern papers
Charmed cards and crafts - Anything goes with a blog candy :)
Crafty card makers - Anything goes

Have a happy crafty weekend!

One of my old project

Hello!

How were your weekend friends? Mine was too hectic... feeling bad that it's over.. :(
Anyways, today I just wanted to share one of my old projects when I was not blogging... I love this one a lot so it's still with me... Might be if I get its true recipient I will give it away... :)

It’s a 3 x 3 mini card set with 3 book marks...

Here are the cards,

 A closure look...

I have used puffy stickers in 2 cards...

This one is hand drawn by me but its not my design. One fine day I was sitting idle in office and just randomly searching on the net and found this designed with the hearts hanging on the curtain rail. I really loved it. The design got imprinted in my mind and one day I drew it on the cardstock. Sorry I never noticed to whom this design originally belongs too as I never knew I will draw it one day. So if you know who is the owner please inform me so that I can give the due credit.
I drew it with a gel pen and colored it with pencil colors.

Here are the bookmarks from the set. I used pink cardstock, puffy stickers, and ribbons and did some doodling. The red checkered paper was an envelope of a card which my friend gave me about 10 years back!!! I just saved it coz I liked it a lot but I never knew I would be using it 10 years later... :)

Here is the wrapping and packing of the set.

I hope you guys liked it and if so then don't forget to comment. Your comments make my day...

Good night!
Priya...
